Jason oversees the Field Leadership Team to drive innovation and growth in evangelism, chapter development, discipleship, missions, and reaching diverse communities. Previously Jason successfully led the campus ministry in the Red River Region (TX, OK, AR). Jason is married to Andrea who is the Director of Marketing for InterVarsity. They live in Austin with their three children. Jason loves to play sports, read leadership books, watch movies, and travel.
James has been involved in campus ministry for decades, empowering generations of Kingdom world-changers. James leads a team responsible for resourcing our field ministry purposes of chapter growth, discipleship, evangelization, multiethnic resources, missions programs, digital ministry, and more. He is an innovator and thought leader who created the Big Story/Four Worlds gospel outline. His life-changing IVP books on evangelism and discipleship are True Story: A Christianity Worth Believing Inand Real Life: A Christianity Worth Living Out. Previously James served as the National Director of Evangelism.
Lynn’s passion for planting and growing witnessing communities began in her junior year at the University of Rochester where she came to know Jesus. Her passion grew at Purdue University where she helped plant a graduate student chapter while completing her PhD in analytical chemistry. As the GFM West Regional Director, she multiplied the staff team and led the region in significant growth. She has served on the National Chapter Planting Task Force and the National Discipleship Task Force. In addition to leading the West field ministry, Lynn supervises InterVarsity's Link Director who places InterVarsity staff, alumni, and volunteers with national IFES movements.
Jon is passionate about starting and growing new ministries. As Central Regional Director, he led staff and students in a season of dramatic growth fueled by an “every corner, every campus” planting vision. At the same time, he led the region to plant an IFES movement in Cambodia. In 2017, his region started an “Every Corner” conference, hosting four conferences in one location that focused on Asian, Black, Latino, and White students. Jon earned a Master of Arts in missional church movements from Wheaton College.
Prior to coming to InterVarsity, Gail served for 32 years with Young Life, where she held every role from intern to Senior Vice President. In 2010, Gail joined InterVarsity to direct our ministry in the South Central U.S. and Eastern U.S. Gail is very passionate about Ministry Partnership Development. She earned her MDiv and was ordained in the Reformed Church in America. Gail and her husband, Phil, live in Denver, Colorado.
Bobby has been with InterVarsity since 1977 in a variety of area, regional and national roles. He has served as National Director of Graduate and Faculty Ministries since 2009 to encourage and equip graduate students and faculty to follow Christ and become a redeeming influence in universities and professions. He is the author of Living the Christian Year(IVP). He and his wife, Charlene, live in Atlanta, Georgia. They have one grown son, Evan.
Joe has a history of starting new things to reach new people. He spent 19 years as a Campus Staff Minister and Area Director in the former Blue Ridge region, helping to launch the region’s Greek and Asian American Ministries, as well as recent growth in Black Campus Ministries. For four years Joe served as the National Director of Asian American Ministries. In his role as Vice President, Joe works closely with the national directors of Multiethnic Ministries and strategic Focus Ministries to amplify their calling to reach all corners of the campus.
Executive Director, Strategic Projects and Operations
After working in local church ministry for eight years, Chuck joined InterVarsity in 1991 and has served in numerous area, regional and national roles. From 2012-17, Chuck was responsible for monitoring InterVarsity’s national Strategic Plan objectives and providing administration services for Collegiate Ministries. Chuck earned two master’s degrees from Denver Seminary and Bethel Seminary.
Through the influence of Urbana 2000, Ruth joined Wycliffe Bible Translators as a designer and eventually directed marketing, communications and branding. In 2016, Ruth said yes to God’s invitation to become InterVarsity’s first woman to serve as the Urbana Director. Through her role on the Field leadership team, Ruth will be a part of strategic conversations that amplify our ministry priorities with each incoming student generation.
